Multiple strands are balanced by brown shell heishi and finished with a traditional woven wrap. A striking, wearable piece rooted in Pueblo tradition.

About the Artist: Daniel Coriz

Award-winning jeweler Daniel Coriz comes from a long line of Santo Domingo (Kewa) artisans. Trained by his mother Nestoria and grandfather Lupe Peña, Daniel creates distinctive Pueblo-style heishi and inlay jewelry using turquoise, spiny oyster, coral, and sterling silver. His "treasure necklaces" are especially sought after. A former nurse, Daniel is now a full-time artist whose work has been featured in museum collections and publications.
